With a degree in Botany Science from Calcutta University, Mrs. Longkumer’s journey began her career in the corporate world at Standard Chartered Bank, and excelled as a valuable member of the Sales team. Mrs. Longkumer discovered her true passion in education and in 2006, she stepped into the realm of teaching at an ICSE school in West Bengal and served as an effective board member of the School Management Committee for over 5 years. For a decade, she co-ran a school and hostel for underprivileged children, leaving a profound impact on their lives.
Armed with extensive experience in leadership and team work, Mrs. Longkumer returned to Nagaland in 2022 and founded the Bridges Educational Foundation along with her husband to further their aspirations in serving the marginalized communities through social activities building better lives. As the Managing Director, she spearheads the NGO, showcasing her commitment to women empowerment and transforming lives.
