Students from Bridges Academy, ranging from grades 6 to 10, had the opportunity to attend the 3 days IIMUN conference in Kohima, the State Capital from 25th-27th May 2023. Our participation in such an event aligns perfectly with the school’s vision and mission to groom future leaders who are confident, competent, and responsible individuals advocating peace.
Conferences like IIMUN provide a platform for students to develop crucial skills such as public speaking, diplomacy, negotiation, and teamwork. By engaging in group workshops and listening to eminent guests and speakers, the students were able to gain valuable insights and motivation. Such experiences can inspire them to become proactive contributors to society and future leaders.
In addition to the learning opportunities at the conference, the students also had the chance to visit important landmarks of the state capital. Exploring the local culture and heritage, it helped the students to broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Moreover, the bond formed between students and teachers during this time was invaluable because events like this not only promote academic growth but also foster strong relationships and a sense of community within the school.
Overall, attending the IIMUN conference in Kohima seems to have been a truly enriching experience for the students of Bridges Academy. It provided them with a platform to enhance their leadership skills, learn from experts, and explore the cultural aspects of the state capital.
